Fans of Dancing with the Stars are eagerly awaiting the official cast reveal for Season 34. The new season premieres in September, and a few cast members have already been announced. According to a comment on a TikTok post from DWTS pro Gleb Savchenko, he seemingly has already been told he has not been invited back for the upcoming season.
ABC has not yet shared when the full cast announcement for Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars will be made. Several contestants have been announced, including Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, and both Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
On the evening of August 9, Savchenko posted a new video on his TikTok page. In the comment section, one fan wrote, “Can’t wait to see you on my tv again in September!”
The fan’s comment was clearly referring to seeing Savchenko as a pro again on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars.
Savchenko replied specifically to that comment, “Afraid you won’t.”
The fan who initially wrote the comment added, “Noooo! Say it isn’t so.” Another fan wrote, “What do you mean?”
In response, Savchenko commented with a sad face emoji. He later added another comment that read, “Not my fault.”
Other Dancing with the Stars fans shared their disappointment in reaction to Savchenko’s comment.
“WHAT?? YOU’RE BREAKING MY HEART,” one person commented.
Another wrote, “Are you messing with us? Are you the source with the fake story? Please say you’re trolling!”
“So they just didn’t sign you this season? You’re the only reason I watch,” bemoaned another fan.
Quite a few fans also took to the Dancing with the Stars subreddit to share their thoughts.
“Oh I would be upset at this on an enjoyment level, but it’s always unfortunate for someone to lose a job so on a personal level I feel for him,” a fan admitted.
Another fan added, “Honestly though, I’ll believe it when I see it. He could be trolling – hope not!!!”
Someone else wrote, “If there was anyone who would troll about this it would be him, but…”
For now, Dancing with the Stars fans will have to wait and see what comes next on this front. Even if Savchenko was told he would not be a pro in the upcoming season, there are times where these types of decisions change. That was the case in Season 33 with Sasha Farber, for example.
Farber wasn’t going to be a pro with a celebrity for the 2024 fall season. However, Jenn Tran was added to the cast the night before the announcement and Farber was tapped to partner with her.
Could the same happen with Savchenko? If he is out for Season 34, fans will definitely be buzzing about it.
