Dylan Dreyer’s kids were in for a scare when they saw their mom’s Halloween costume this morning
The Today meteorologist FaceTimed her kids as she got ready for the spooky holiday and was surprised to hear how shocked they were to see her in costume

Dylan Dreyer’s costume might not have been the most spooky, but it sure gave her sons a fright!
In a video shared on Friday, Oct. 31 by Today, the meteorologist, 44, could be seen FaceTiming her three sons — Calvin, 8, Oliver, 5, and Rusty 4 — as she was all dressed up in her Frankie Valli costume. Dreyer’s hair was slicked back to emulate the Four Seasons singer and she wore a tie, button-up shirt and slacks.
“What do you think?” Dreyer can be heard asking her sons. When they didn’t reply, she asked, “You don’t like it?”
“It’s a wig, buddy,” Dreyer explained to her kids. “You don’t look like yourself,” Calvin told his mom.

“That’s the point!” Dreyer laughed. Her other son Oliver then looks confused.
“You look terrified,” said the mom of three. “You don’t like it, do you?”
Earlier this month, Dreyer shared a series of photos on Instagram as she posted a farewell to her old apartment. In one photo, Dreyer could be seen painting an olive green room’s walls white with the help of her son Russell.
She also included a photo of her sons’ bedroom, which included their triple bunkbed. “This room holds a lot of memories and I thank God every day for each and every one of them,” she wrote in her caption.
“And the boys have a whole lifetime of love and dreams ahead of them! Just not in a triple bunk bed!” Dreyer joked at the end of her post.
Moving apartments isn’t the only change Dreyer has gone through this year. The Today host, who also serves as the co-anchor of the third hour, shared the news of her separation from husband Brian Fichera on July 18 via Instagram.
Dreyer and Fichera were married for 12 years and share their three sons. The pair first met while working at the same local Boston news station before tying the knot in 2012.
This past August, Dreyer’s son Calvin joined her for a full day of work at Today. The proud mom shared a few snaps from her “awesome day” on the Today set with her son Calvin.
In the first picture, the mother-son duo posed with legendary actor Christopher Lloyd. Another showed the 8-year-old shaking the hand of the Back to the Future alum. The last snap showed Calvin pointing to his name on the Today signature wall.
“GREAT SCOTT!! What an awesome day to take Calvin to work!! @todayshow” the proud mom captioned her post.
