Eddie Murphy’s net worth is estimated to be around $200 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The site also reports that he’s earned at least $420 million during his career to date.
It’s reported that the comedian got paid $4,500 per episode on his first season of Saturday Night Live. He later received a reported $30,000 per episode on Saturday Night Live during his last couple of years.
According to the Washington Post, Murphy said he was paid $200,000 for his first movie, 48 HRS, and $350,000 for his next movie, Trading Places. He negotiated his contract for his hit Beverly Hills Cop to receive a percentage of box office earnings, and it was beneficial and earned him a whopping $14.5 million. At the height of his career, Murphy was named one of the highest-paid actors with an average of $30 million.
For his voice duties as Donkey in the Shrek series, he reportedly made $3 million in Shrek and reportedly $10 million for its sequel.
In 2005, he divorced his wife, Nicole Murphy, and the court awarded her a $15 million dollar alimony. In 2016, it was revealed that a con man had swindled Nicole out of $10 million.

As for who will inherit Murphy’s money, he’s pretty generous with his ten children. Martin Lawrence revealed in an episode of iHeartRadio’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Martin Lawerence recalled that Murphy told him to pay for their nuptials. “Well, Eddie said I gotta pay for it,” Martin revealed on the radio show. “He said I gotta pay for it ’cause he paid for his last daughter’s wedding, like the last six weddings.”
“He said it’s my turn now,” the comedian continued. “I don’t mind.”
