DENVER (KDVR) — A world-renowned DJ and producer is headlining a show at Mission Ballroom on Thursday to benefit local organizations that help immigrant youth.
The nonprofit Better Together Denver partnered with Mission Ballroom to host the show featuring Deorro, a Mexican-American electronic dance music producer known by over 7.5 million Spotify listeners for his EDM and Latin music blend. The show will also include support from other EDM acts, including Bolo, Close Friends Only and Levi Double U.

Mission Ballroom is well known in the EDM world for its sound system, as well as the massive LED disco ball, large dance floor, LED video wall and lighting system. According to the event organizers, the show will feature LED-driven “impact moments” that are woven throughout the show.
Some of the proceeds from the show will go to support Convivir Colorado, a leadership program which helps immigrant, refugee and first-generation youth in middle and high school to “strengthen their identity,” as well as Juntos Community, which helps immigrant youth and families navigating complex systems with clinics, legal aid and more.
“Music and art bring people together in ways nothing else can,” said Rico Gomez, board member of Better Together Denver, in a press release. “This year’s benefit concert continues the momentum of blending music with purpose, proving that civic engagement, supporting our communities, and a good time can and should coexist. It’s about giving young adults new and diverse paths to shape Denver’s future and have a voice. With Deorro’s help, we’re proving that civic life can be accessible, exciting, and part of the city’s cultural life.”

According to a press release, the event is non-partisan in nature, so campaign materials or any promotion of political causes will be prohibited on the premises.
