Psychedelic/progressive rock group Elder have shared the latest single from their forthcoming album, Through Zero, which arrives on May 29. New song “Capture/Release” and its official video (shot and edited by Sean Miller) can be viewed below.
Elder had the following to say regarding both the new single and the upcoming album:
“We’re very excited to present a new song from our upcoming record Through Zero today, accompanied by some incredible video work by our friend Sean Miller/Agency 159.
“Our new record is, as always, a product of its time. Creating art, whatever it might be, in our current age increasingly means playing by the rules of a technocratic ruling class; shoved into the chicken coop at the industrial content farm and forced to produce for the ever-hungry market. In this world, it’s sometimes easy to forget why you actually do what you do as a musician – for the pure joy of free self-expression. ‘Capture/Release’ is an exploration of these feelings and a reaffirmation of why we create. We hope it resonates with you too.”
