Star Trek: Enterprise is a show that has improved with age, but one thing that hasn’t gotten better over time is the show’s theme song. Hated and reviled from the moment the series was released, it’s still despised by even the show’s biggest fans today.
Luckily, we’ve found a fix. Giant Freakin Robot has teamed up with The Scott Bakula Band to produce a new version of the show’s seminal theme song, “Where My Heart Will Take Me.” Here’s our new version.
Initially, the theme was a riff on the Rod Stewart song “Faith of the Heart,” but modified and re-recorded by Russell Watson for the show. Our version throws all of that out and turns it into a hard-driving metal song.
