York County Sheriff’s Lt. Dave Godfrey leaves WellSpan’s rehab center

Lt. Dave Godfrey walked on his own feet out of WellSpan’s rehab facility in York Township, one month after sustaining near-lethal gunshot wounds.

CapFilm: “Mitski — The Land.” A phenomenal live performer, Mitski brought her acclaimed seventh album, “The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We,” to the world’s stages in theatrical and daring fashion, presenting as much a spectacle as an expansive live show. Alongside a seven-piece band and with choreography by Monica Mirabile, Mitski uses every inch of the stage to her advantage, weaving in and out of the spotlight and shadows. “Mitski: The Land” captures an artist at the height of her musical powers, bringing a cinematic intimacy to the sweeping live experience, showcasing music from “The Land Is…” alongside reworkings and reimaginations of songs that color her expansive career. 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Capitol Theatre at the Appell Center, 50 N. George St., York. All tickets $15.

Eastern Division York Train Show. The Eastern Division Train Show is the largest in the United States featuring modular exhibits of operating trains, dealer seminars, buying and selling trains and much more. Thursday (members only), 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave., York. Tickets $10.

CapFilm: “Alien.” In deep space, the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. They discover a deadly life form that breeds within human hosts. Now the crew must fight to stay alive and prevent the creature from reaching Earth. Directed by Ridley Scott, starring Sigourney Weaver in her breakout performance, this launched the long-running Alien film saga. 7 p.m. Friday, at the Capitol Theatre at the Appell Center. Tickets $8.

Strand Legends: Del McCoury Band. York’s own Del McCoury stands alone among the pantheon of music’s finest artists. From the emerging sound of bluegrass that charmed hillbilly honkytonks, rural schoolhouse stages and the crowning glory of the Grand Ole Opry to the present-day culture-buzz of viral videos and digital streams, McCoury is the living link. 7:30 p.m. Friday, at the Strand Theatre at the Appell Center. Tickets start at $39.

West York Borough Pumpkin Carving Party and Movie Night. Activities include: Pumpkin carving (free pumpkins available or bring your own); movie screening: “Hocus Pocus”; announcement of the 5 best borough properties decorated for Halloween; food trucks; beer garden. 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at the York Expo Center. Free admission.

Highway Boys: Dive Bar Tour. 7 p.m Friday at South County Brewing Company, 170 Crossway Dr., York. $5 cover.

The Bottomfeeders. These self-proclaimed “businessmen by day … wannabe rock ’n’ rollers by night” bring the energy, humor, and heart to every show. Known for rocking out classic hits, having a blast, and playing for charity, the love of rock ’n’ roll, and — of course — beer, The Bottomfeeders are always a crowd favorite. 7 p.m. Friday at Gift Horse Brewing Company, 117 N. George St., York. Free.

M3G Presents: One Last Time. Get ready for an amazing musical experience with the smooth sounds of R&B performed with a live band that will have you tapping your feet and moving in your seat all night. This will be a truly special night with four phenomenal singers from the group known as M3G … they will be ready to show up and show out. Opening the show will be the legendary Rossums, who are no strangers to the bright lights and big stage. And our hosts, the infamous Gzo and Blush, will raise the energy through the roof and keep you on the edge of your seat all night long. 7 p.m. Saturday, at the Capitol Theatre at the Appell Center. Tickets start at $10.

West York Borough Jack-o-Lantern Walk & Festival. Activities will include: Jack-O-Lantern contest; live music stages & fire show; spooky assortment of food trucks and local cuisine; trunk or treat; pumpkin pie eating contest; free Halloween photo props; fire pit and s‘mores; beer garden; movie screening: “The Goonies”; meet your local public safety officials and borough administration; live artists, lots of candy and crafts; lots of family fun and games for the kiddos. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, at the York Expo Center. Free admission.

Kirk Folk. Kirk brings an eclectic mix of roots, Americana, folk-rock, and storytelling to the stage, delivering both original tunes and covers with soul, grit, and a voice that sticks with you. Whether you’re there for the lyrics, the vibe, or the crushes, this is a set you won’t want to miss. 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Gift Horse Brewing Company. Free.

Mother Dimension. This cosmic crew from York blends psychedelic rock, funk, and experimental jams into a high-energy live experience that’s totally out of this world. Expect face-melting riffs, groovy rhythms, and interdimensional vibes that’ll take you on a musical journey through space and time. 7 p.m. Saturday, at Gift Horse Brewing Company. Free.

So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience. Broadway, TV, and film star Robert Neary creates a one-of-a-kind tribute to one of the greatest recording artists in history. This tribute show to Neil Diamond is unlike any you have ever seen or heard before. You will swear you are watching the master, himself, as Robert tells the stories behind some of the classic songs and performs 22 of Neil’s greatest hits. Backed by NYC’s premier band, The Mystic, So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience is guaranteed to leave you cheering and wanting more. 7 p.m. Saturday, at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center, 195 Stock St., Hanover. Tickets start at $39.

The Groove. This powerhouse trio brings together deep pocket grooves, funky rhythms, and slick improvisation for a set that blends jazz, soul, funk, and fusion into a smooth Sunday soundtrack. Whether you’re here to vibe or dance, The Groove delivers. 2 p.m. Sunday, at Gift Horse Brewing Company. Free.

York Halloween Parade. Marking its 75th march through downtown York, the parade will launch Sunday at 2 p.m. from the York Expo Center and travel east on Market Street from Richland Avenue to Broad Street. Parking is available in downtown lots and garages. No parking is permitted along Market Street. There will be various street closures, including George Street closing at 1 p.m. from Philadelphia to King, and other cross streets closing at 1:30 p.m. This is a RAIN OR SHINE event. Join the parade on Market Street in downtown York to watch this grand tradition. 2 p.m. Free.
