The Entertainment Community Fund (ECF) has announced the creation of the Francine A. LeFrank Foundation Creative Entrepreneur Program, available to performing arts and entertainment professionals as of this month. Supported by the Francine A. LeFrak Foundation, the initiative is structured as a training program for artists to become successful entrepreneurs.
Through workshops, seminars, support groups and more, the program will help artist become business owners. To be eligible, those interested must have a business idea and must have taken steps to actualize that idea. Those interested must attend a program information session, register as a participant of the ECF Career Center and complete a formal application.
“The entertainment industry is full of extraordinary talent, but it is also incredibly unpredictable,” said Francine A. LeFrak, president of the Francine A. LeFrak Foundation. “I supported this program because I want actors, performing artists and production professionals to recognize how deeply valuable their talent is. When the spotlight dims, their creativity doesn’t. They deserve a path to security, confidence and community. This program isn’t just about teaching business skills, it’s about unlocking entrepreneurial potential. Talent is everywhere; opportunity isn’t. My mission is to close that gap by equipping creatives with the tools to turn their talent into lasting opportunity and independence.”
