2nd Friday Starlight Stroll Jan – 3-8 p.m., Join Tahoe City and West Shore businesses on the second Friday of each month from January through April 2026 for the new Starlight Strolls where visitors and locals can explore, sip, shop, dine and play – held Jan. 9, Feb. 13, March 13 & April 10. Retailers will stay open later to welcome evening strolls through our walkable downtown, offering special deals, unique gifts and local surprises. The strolls will feature live music and festively decorated storefronts to enhance the ambiance, and free rides via TART Connect will make it easy to get around without worrying about parking. Winter lights, cozy menus, and top-quality local shopping combine to make this series a highlight of the season. Big Gigantic – 7 p.m., Crystal Bay Casino, 14 Highway 28. Big Gigantic are veterans of blending electronic dance music with their live instruments to create Big G’s truly unique sound; a sound that is as thoughtful as it is danceable. They draw light out of an inimitable mélange of impressive instrumentation, cinematic production, propulsive percussion, and, of course, triumphant saxophone. The genre-bending Denver, CO pair—Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken—uplift with every subsequent album and show, mixing musically mature melodies with addictive beats and samples that crosses all styles of music from jazz to hip hop, funk to dubstep.

Educational Snowshoe Tour with Sierra State Parks Foundation – 11 a.m.-12 p.m., Sugar Pine Point Campground. Educational Snowshoe Tour led by State Park Interpreters, sponsored by the Sierra State Parks Foundation. Tours are 120-minutes (2 miles) with short educational stops along the way. We will discuss flora and fauna, watershed health, and the 1960 Winter Olympics, of which Sugar Pine Point was the venue for all cross-country events.  We will provide a 24-hour cancellation notice if unsafe weather conditions persist. For The Love Of Play – 7-10 p.m., Community Arts Center, 10046 Church St.. The Truckee Rec and Park Foundation, the nonprofit partner of the Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District, invites the community to come together “For the Love of Play,” an evening of magic, comedy, circus acts, and music benefiting local parks and recreation. Moe Moe and Alec De Reitzes take control of the night with deep, driving dance-floor energy built for full-send, late-night dancing. Late-night food and drinks will be available to keep you fueled. PINK LOVE is a winter dance gathering bringing deep, organic house to the mountains. The night is shaped by two Pink Mammoth resident DJs rooted in community, groove, and dance-floor storytelling. Live Music: Andrew Jed – 2-5 p.m., Diamond Peak Ski Resort, 1210 Ski Way. Enjoy live music on the Loft Bar Deck by local musician, Andrew Jed, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 16, 2026. Located on the second floor of the main Base Lodge, the Loft Bar is a full-service bar featuring beer, wine, and cocktails. Try the refreshing thirst quenchers or hot hand-warmer specialty cocktails. Happy hour drink specials are offered from 4:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. daily and food is available at the Loft Bar from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Parking is free, and the Base Lodge is accessible to skiers and non-skiers, so invite your friends! Altitude: In the Peripheral Exhibition and Artist talk by Nick Cahill – 5-7 p.m., Description UNR at Lake Tahoe – Prim Library Join us for the reception and artist talk of Altitude: In the Peripheral an exhibition by Nick Cahill in the Prim Reference Gallery at the Prim Library. The event will start at 5pm and the artist talk will start at 5:30 on the Mezzanine. There will be light food and sparkling water severed. This event is free and open to everyone. Cahill is a Tahoe local, an outdoor adventure filmmaker and photographer. He is driven by storytelling and the pursuit of wild places.
