Music lovers in Thurles are in for a special treat this April as the acclaimed Chamber Philharmonic Europe (Kammerphilharmonie Europa) makes a welcome return to The Source Arts Centre for a captivating afternoon concert.
Taking place on Thursday, 16 April at 2.00pm, the performance will be delivered by nine of the continent’s most talented young professional musicians.
Founded in 2006 in Cologne, Germany, the Chamber Philharmonic Europe has built a strong international reputation for its expressive performances and engaging programming.

Known for their “Powerful Emotions” tours, the ensemble has performed in prestigious venues ranging from London’s Conway Hall to the Musikhuset Aarhus in Denmark.
Attendees can expect a versatile program of Baroque and Classical masterpieces, featuring:
- A. Corelli: Concerto Grosso Op.6 No.4 in D Major
- S. Rachmaninoff: Vocalise
- T. Albinoni: Concerto Saint Marc in B Major (featuring award-winning trumpet soloist Cyrill Gussaroff)
- W.A. Mozart: Divertimento D Major KV.136
- G. Faure: Pavane Op. 50
- A. Vivaldi: Selections from “The Four Seasons” including Spring and Summer
