The 2026 Oscars are officially here! The biggest night of Hollywood has officially begun, and the red carpet is already stacked with the buzziest names in the industry. From Academy Award veterans to first-time nominees, attendees included the likes of Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jessie Buckley, who all made their way to the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood to celebrate.
The ceremony, which wraps up the two-month-long award season, followed January’s Critics Choice Awards and Golden Globes, February’s BAFTAs, and March’s Actor Awards (previously known as the SAG Awards). Like its predecessors, the Oscars recognized films released in 2025, with One Battle After Another, Marty Supreme, Hamnet, and Sentimental Value earning several spots in the coveted categories.
Leading the nominations was Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, which made Oscars history with a total of 16 nods—breaking the previous record of 14 held by All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997), and La La Land (2016). The film’s lead, Michael B. Jordan, earned his first Academy Award nomination for his work on the project, nominated for Actor in a Leading Role alongside Chalamet (Marty Supreme), DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).
On the actress side, Buckley (Hamnet), Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), and Emma Stone (Bugonia) made up the list of Leading Role nominees.
When it came to the prestigious Best Picture award, Bugonia, F1, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, Sinners, and Train Dreams were all nominated.
