Country artists are diving full swing into the holidays, offering one of the most diverse and heartfelt collections of seasonal music in years. This winter brings a mix of emotional ballads, nostalgic classics, raucous rock-country covers, and sweet family-focused moments — all delivered by some of the genre’s biggest stars and most exciting rising voices. From dazzling vocal performances to warm acoustic storytelling, these holiday drops prove just how naturally country music fits the season.

Gabby Barrett sets the tone with new additions to her holiday album ‘Carols and Candlelight,’ unveiling cinematic takes on ‘Where Are You Christmas?’ and ‘When Christmas Comes to Town.’ Her powerhouse vocals bring a fresh glow to songs already beloved by fans of the season. Dylan Scott goes a different direction, leaning into raw heart with ‘Two Christmas Trees,’ a touching family collaboration built on a song written by his father back in the ’80s. The track connects generations through warmth, legacy and the memories that define Christmastime.

Little Big Town and Lady A are both giving their Christmas catalogs a meaningful refresh this year with new holiday tracks that deepen their seasonal storytelling. Little Big Town surprised fans with ‘The Innkeeper,’ a tender original added to the then-2024 ‘The Christmas Record.’ The song weaves the quartet’s signature harmonies into a story-driven ballad, expanding the emotional landscape of their festive collection. Lady A, meanwhile, has released ‘On This Winter’s Night (Volume 2),’ adding 11 fresh songs to their holiday discography. The new album features covers of Wham’s ‘Last Christmas,’ Paul McCartney’s ‘Wonderful Christmastime,’ and The Beach Boys’ ‘Little Saint Nick,’ along with originals like ‘Wouldn’t Be Christmas’ and ‘Why We Sing Noel’ (with Ricky Skaggs). The trio also tapped Chris Tomlin to join them on a reverent rendition of ‘Silent Night.’ Together, these new additions show how both groups are honouring the traditions of the season while bringing fresh warmth and storytelling into their holiday music.

Luke Bryan joins the holiday arena for the very first time with ‘Luke Bryan Christmas,’ a project that expands his signature charm into the festive space. His lively duet with Ella Langley on ‘Winter Wonderland’ — paired with a cheerful new music video — brings a lighthearted, big-smile energy to the season. Chris Young offers a more traditional sound with his original ‘Christmas Ain’t Christmas’ and a lush, classic cover of ‘Silver Bells,’ both released ahead of his first-ever acoustic Christmas tour. And for younger listeners, Platoon returns with ‘Growin’ Up Holiday Vol. 2,’ a four-song children’s collection that captures the magic and innocence of the season.

On the rise side of the genre, Maddox Batson releases heartfelt versions of ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas’ and ‘Last Christmas,’ just as he prepares for an upcoming global tour. Brad Paisley, meanwhile, delivers one of the biggest holiday projects of the year with his 16-track album ‘Snow Globe Town,’ inspired by his upcoming Hallmark film. The album plays out like a cinematic journey from winter’s first snowfall to the joy of Christmas morning, making it one of the most ambitious holiday concept albums in recent country memory.

For those who prefer their Christmas music with a bit more edge, Tanner Usrey turns up the volume with a gritty rendition of ‘Run Run Rudolph,’ infusing the classic with rock-country adrenaline. Sheyna Gee brings a playful spark with her romantic holiday single ‘Kiss This Christmas,’ while RaeLynn offers full-on festive swagger in her five-track collection ‘Jingle Jangle Rock,’ mixing originals and electrified classics into a joyful, honky-tonk-flavoured celebration.

Rounding out the season’s releases, Carter Faith brings soul, warmth, and storytelling to her two-song drop ‘A Cherry Valley Holiday,’ pairing a stirring cover of ‘Please Come Home for Christmas’ with the charming original duet ‘Nothin’ for Christmas’ featuring William Beckmann. And Dan + Shay return to the holiday spotlight with ‘Long Live Christmas,’ a harmony-rich anthem that captures the spirit of togetherness their fans adore.

Perhaps the highlight of the season, though, is Trisha Yearwood who ushers in the season with warmth, elegance, and unmistakable vocal magic on her new Christmas album, delivering a collection that feels both timeless and deeply personal. Blending classic holiday standards with thoughtfully chosen contemporary songs, the project showcases Yearwood’s ability to infuse familiar melodies with fresh emotional nuance. Her signature blend of country, soul and orchestral flair shines throughout, whether she’s offering a gentle, fireside-ready ballad or lifting spirits with festive, full-band arrangements.

With contributions from Gabby Barrett, Dylan Scott, Luke Bryan, Ella Langley, Chris Young, Platoon, Maddox Batson, Brad Paisley, Tanner Usrey, Sheyna Gee, RaeLynn, Carter Faith, William Beckmann, and Dan + Shay, this holiday season stands as one of the most vibrant and emotionally resonant lineups country music has offered — a reminder that the genre’s storytelling magic shines brightest during the most wonderful time of the year.
