Lola Tung is starring in a new film from A24.
The movie is going to be directed by Bodies Bodies Bodies’s Halina Reijn.
Tung’s role is being kept under wraps.
On July 1, it was announced that The Summer I Turned Pretty star Lola Tung had joined the cast of a new A24 film titled Please. The movie is being directed by Halina Reijn, known for her work on Babygirl and Bodies Bodies Bodies.
Here’s everything we know about the film so far.
What is Please about?
So far, the story is being kept quiet, but it will be written by Reijn and produced under her production company, Man Up Film, per Deadline. She’ll also be working with one of her favorite artistic collaborators, David Hinojosa, with A24’s Zach Nutman executive producing.
In Reijn’s previous works, the comedy slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies and the erotic thriller Babygirl, which starred Nicole Kidman, explore themes of violence, sexuality, and power relationships, accompanied by a strong comedic perspective.
Who else is starring in Please?
In addition to Tung, the cast includes Gracie Abrams, Tom Burke, Connor Storrie, and David Jonsson. Abrams announced she would be starring in the film in January 2026 with a screenshot of the Deadline announcement on her Instagram timeline.
This will be one of Tung’s biggest roles since the end of her Amazon Prime hit The Summer I Turned Pretty. She is also set to star in the upcoming thriller The Young People, which also stars Nicole Kidman and Nico Parker.
