Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s former flame is vouching for his character.
According to the former Duke of York’s ex-girlfriend Kim Deas, Andrew possesses a softer demeanor than the one he portrays to the public.

“People think that because he’s so good-looking, he’s not a nice person. But he’s extremely sensitive and kind,” Deas told the writer for his book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York via The Mirror.
“He certainly doesn’t live up to his nickname of ‘Randy Andy’ at all. He’s simply a good friend,” she revealed.

Lady Victoria Hervey, who also reportedly had a fling with Andrew, defended him over his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein.

“It’s very hard for anyone to kind of try and imagine being in his shoes,” the socialite told LBC via The Mirror.
“But he’s a male, he’s single, he needs to date. He’s not going to be sitting in a monastery his whole life,” she said.
Andrew’s downfall
In October 2025, King Charles III stripped his younger brother of his titles and evicted him from Royal Lodge over his connection to the late criminal.

In February 2026, Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office after allegedly giving Epstein confidential information while he was England’s trade envoy.
“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities,” His Majesty and Buckingham Palace said in a statement. “In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”
Andrew feels ‘isolated’
As the royal family partakes in annual gatherings this summer, Andrew is reportedly feeling more devastated than ever as he spends his days locked up at his home at Sandringham.

“He’s become used to watching his family celebrate Trooping the Colour without him, but Garter Day will be a really tough day for him,” a source told Daily Express.
“It’s one of those days that reminds him of all that he’s lost. He’s feeling more isolated than ever; he’s completely alone,” the insider said.
