The City and County of Honolulu urged the public to plan for traffic and limited parking at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center because of multiple popular events happening during Thanksgiving weekend.
These events include:
- November 28 (Friday): Kalikimaka Ho’omau – A Holiday Concert with the Royal Hawaiian Band
- November 28-30 (Friday to Sunday): Islandwide Crafts & Food Expo
- November 29 (Saturday): Gabriel Iglesias – The 1976 Tour
In addition, several other nearby events will contribute to increasing congestion:
- November 29 (Saturday): Official Launch of the 41st Honolulu City Lights
- November 29 (Saturday): Public Workers’ Electric Light Parade
Because of this activity, consider rideshares, carpools, or public transit to ease traffic.
Those parking at Blaisdell should come early and expect long delays when entering and exiting. Regular parking rates are in effect; the cost is $8 per vehicle.
