Diesel announced that Andrea Rigogliosi has been appointed as its new CEO. Rigogliosi will report directly to Ubaldo Minelli, the CEO of Diesel’s parent company, OTB Group. Rigogliosi comes to Diesel with international experience in luxury fashion and retail on the international stage. Previously, he served as Global Head of Retail Commercial at Miu Miu, as President Europe at Fendi, and as General Manager France & Monaco and General Manager Italy at Christian Dior Couture. He is a graduate of Bocconi University with a degree in International Business Administration.
Founder and chairman of OTB Group, Renzo Rosso, said in a statement, “Diesel is a magical brand, which I founded, and that has always represented a unique force in the fashion landscape. Glenn Martens’ creative direction has transformed it, rediscovering its most authentic DNA and making the brand fresher, more contemporary, and increasingly loved by younger generations. Today, Diesel can be considered the only alternative to the luxury world, embodying values such as inclusivity and accessibility—particularly significant in a complex moment for the entire fashion industry. Recently, I have closely followed the brand’s development with a team of managers, while we navigated a challenging market phase. I am delighted to welcome Andrea to Diesel, and, together with the team, I am sure that he will further enhance Diesel’s potential at a crucial stage in the brand’s evolution.”

President and CEO of Gap Inc, Richard Dickson, said in a statement, “Fashion is entertainment, and today’s customers aren’t just buying apparel, they’re buying into brands that tell compelling stories and drive cultural conversations. As we reinvigorate Gap Inc.’s house of iconic American brands to drive relevance and revenue, we recognize entertainment is a critical link to the consumer. One we can lean on to create fandoms, inspire movements, and fuel sustained growth. Through Fashiontainment, we are unlocking that potential to take our brands to the next level, and Pam’s discipline, deep expertise, and proven track record in entertainment and licensing make her the perfect fit to help us bring it to life.”
Kaufman herself added, “Gap Inc.’s brands have shaped culture for generations, creating a legacy that is incredibly powerful. What excites me most is the opportunity to build on that foundation, thoughtfully expanding how these brands connect with people through partnerships and experiences over time. I’m inspired to join a company that believes in people and creativity, and to help shape the next chapter of these extraordinary brands.”
