The Center for Service and Social Justice at The University of Scranton will hold its annual Volunteer and Service Fair for local nonprofit organizations from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, on campus. Deadline to register is Monday, Sept. 8.
The fair offers University students and student-led clubs interested in service projects and community-based learning sites a chance to meet representatives from nonprofit organizations in need of volunteers.
Each year, more than 600 students attend the fair. Annually, more than 2,800 Scranton students volunteer for more than 175,000 hours of service.
There is no cost for a nonprofit organization to participate in the fair, however, registration is required. To register, email [email protected] or call 570-941-7429.
