The Fall 2 cast has officially been set, with a sequel to the 2022 psychological thriller officially set for a release date window as well.
Who is in the Fall 2 cast?
According to a new announcement from Capstone Studios and Tea Shop Productions, Fall 2’s cast will be led by Harriet Slater (Outlander), Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), and Tom Brittney (Grantchester).
What’s unclear as of now is if Grace Caroline Currey, who starred in the original film and had been open about the idea of a return, will be involved in the film. So far, just the three stars of the new film have been confirmed.
Alongside news of the casting, Tea Shop Productions also announced that Fall 2 is scheduled to release sometime in early 2026, via Lionsgate. The film will be directed by Jigsaw and Predestination directors Michael and Peter Spierig, with Fall’s original writer and director Scott Mann writing the script along with Jonathan Frank.
“Overwhelmed by her sister Hunter’s death, Jax (Slater) connects with Luce (Thomas), Hunter’s fearless friend,” reads the new film’s official synopsis. “To heal, they attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. After a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded on a fragile plank 3000 feet in the air, Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival to find closure.”
After launching to moderate success in the box office, Fall became a surprise hit overseas. According to reports, Fall has been the second most-watched film in the United Kingdom on Netflix, trailing only Idris Elba’s Luther: The Fallen Sun.
The success of the film also comes without any real marketing push behind it, with Tea Shop Productions’ co-founder James Harris crediting its success to word of mouth.
