Zoë Kravitz is being courted to return as Catwoman in The Batman Part II, but insiders say the odds are shrinking. While the studio wants her back, she reportedly isn’t rushing to sign on.
“Zoë does not have a deal to appear in The Batman Part II yet. In fact, only one actor has a signed contract to appear in the movie, and that’s Robert Pattinson,” an insider exclusively tells Star.
“There are still a lot of moving pieces ahead of the planned shoot in January of next year,” adds the insider, noting that the movie is slated for an October 2027 release. “But Zoë’s window of time to make a follow-up appearance in the movie is slowly closing.”
According to the insider, Kravitz, 36, has multiple acting opportunities on her plate at the moment — along with ambitions to direct again. “If she wants to play Catwoman again and if she’s motivated, she can make it happen. But Zoë might be too cool for that,” says the insider, noting she isn’t the type to schmooze studio executives.

Kravitz first landed the Catwoman role in 2022’s The Batman with ease, but this time, the insider says she’d need to actively campaign for the part in its highly anticipated sequel — if she even wants it.
“If Zoë isn’t invited to the party for a second time, it won’t be a big deal for her,” the insider shares. “Her attitude is that Catwoman needs her more than she needs Catwoman. Rob is totally fine with her having that position too, because it’s exactly how he felt about his years in the Twilight movies.”
