Disney fans are ready for Toy Story 5 to hit theaters on June 19, 2026. And now Swifties are getting in on the hype after Taylor released a song for the movie called “I Knew It, I Knew You.”
Taylor performed the new track at the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles on June 9. She also performed a heartwarming duet of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” alongside singer-songwriter Randy Newman, who sang the song back in 1995. It was all captured on an Instagram video by Pixar, the production studio behind the film franchise.

It wouldn’t be a Taylor Swift performance without pulling on some heartstrings, as proved by the reactions on social media.
“As a huge Disney fan who was obsessed with Toy Story as a kid and a swiftie. This made my heart so happy 💛,” one person wrote in the comments.

As Taylor later got behind the piano to play “I Knew It, I Knew You,” she had to express what being part of a beloved film series like this meant to her.
“I would just love to say, it means the world to me to be a small part of the universe of these films, and Toy Story 5 is my favorite of all of the Toy Storys,” she said to the crowd, per Billboard.
“I’m so lucky that I get to be a part of this, and I want to thank … all of the creators at Disney and Pixar for all the work they put into this film. It’s insanely beautiful. It’s a masterpiece. We’re so lucky to get to have this film out. Your work is amazing, and I hope you’re all so proud of yourselves. If you’re in this room and you worked on this film, thank you so much.”
