While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

We’ve found 21 US stocks that are forecast to pay a dividend yield of over 6% next year. See the full list for free.

Far East Hotels and Entertainment Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Chairman Derek Chiu bought HK$5.7m worth of shares at a price of HK$0.48 per share. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at around the current price of HK$0.52. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company’s future. We do always like to see insider buying, but it is worth noting if those purchases were made at well below today’s share price, as the discount to value may have narrowed with the rising price. The good news for Far East Hotels and Entertainment share holders is that insiders were buying at near the current price.

In the last twelve months Far East Hotels and Entertainment insiders were buying shares, but not selling.
