Voting is open in Round 3 — the quarterfinals — to determine Elvis Presley‘s best song.
With the annual Elvis Week festivities underway, The Commercial Appeal decided to turn to you, our readers / Elvis fans, to determine the top track by the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Round 2 saw some close battles and impassioned voting as fans lobbied for their favorite cuts by the King. When the votes were tallied, we said goodbye to: “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Kentucky Rain,” “A Little Less Conversation,” “Burning Love,” “In the Ghetto,” “I Want You, I Need You, I Love You” and “Hound Dog.”

Now, with the field down to “Elvis’ Eight,” here are the head-to-head matchups for Round 3:
“Return to Sender” vs. “Suspicious Minds”

You can vote for your favorites below.
Voting for each round will be open from 5 a.m. Monday until noon Thursday, and you can vote up to once per hour. The voting windows are:
Aug. 11-14: Elvis’ Eight voting
Aug. 18-21: Semifinals voting
Aug. 25-28: Finals voting
Aug. 29: Winning song announced.
The winning song will be featured in a story on CommercialAppeal.com and in our print edition. The power is in your hands. Don’t be cruel — vote for your favorite song and help it advance to the semifinals.
