Farrah Abraham is sadly no stranger to parent shaming, but she and her daughter’s latest video shows they don’t care one bit about what naysayers think. In case you missed it, Sophia shared a video to both TikTok and Instagram with the caption reading, “👀👀 #pregnant #teenmom #16 #teenmomog #goth #alt #genz #tattoos #firsttattoo #reels #trending #fyp #fypage #sophiaabraham #farrahabraham #omg #tiktok.”
However, in the video itself, we see Sophia holding onto her stomach, with Farrah next to her, and the video reading, “We have a surprise for you guys…” While the video is made for you to believe it’s her announcing a pregnancy, she lifts her stomach to reveal her “First tattoo!”

In the video, we can see Sophia’s first tattoo: two sets of bats on both sides of her stomach, which go perfectly with her gothic vibes. (Note the all black look, spikes, perfectly executed classic goth makeup, and curly red hair!)
While there were a lot of parent shamers in the comment section, shaming Farrah for letting her 16-year-old get a tattoo, there’s something many didn’t consider. The tattoo was done by Nick SL from Orlando, Florida, and in Florida, you can be as young as 16 to get a tattoo, as long as you have parental consent, a notarized consent form, and they’re there for the tattoo. So it’s all legal!
For those who don’t know, Abraham welcomed a daughter named Sophia Laurent Abraham on Feb 23, 2009 while filming the MTV show, 16 and Pregnant. Sophia’s father, Derek Underwood, died in a fatal car wreck during filming on December 28, 2008.
While speaking with E! Online, Farrah said, “I’m extremely proud of my daughter.” (We always love to hear that!)
