FELICIA TEMPLE RELEASES NEW MUSIC VIDEO “DON’T WANNA BE LONELY” AND

ANNOUNCED AS BILLIE HOLIDAY THEATRE SEASON OPENER

(New York, NY – September 26, 2025) – Blending sultry R&B grooves with retro flair, Felicia Temple unveils her new single and music video, “Don’t Wanna Be Lonely,” out today across all streaming platforms. Alongside the release, Felicia has been announced as the season opener for the historic Billie Holiday Theatre on October 9 in Brooklyn.

Leaning into a Silk Sonic-inspired groove, “Don’t Wanna Be Lonely” is equal parts sultry and bold. Over smooth instrumentation and retro-tinged production, Felica flips vulnerability into confidence, shamelessly shooting her shot. The music video brings that energy to life in a playful, 1960s-inspired setting, where she moves through lovers and possibilities with effortless charm and vintage flair.

In addition to her new release, Felicia will open the 2025-2026 Season for the Billie Holiday Theatre, one of the nation’s preeminent arts and culture institutions, as part of its celebrated BILLIE & BEYOND series, co-produced with veteran journalist and producer Bonsu Thompson. The October 9 event will be hosted by media personality and culture critic Dawn Montgomery (Okayplayer Podcast), with music by DJ NYLA and a performance from vocalist Siaira Shawn. The curated evening will also feature light bites and cocktails. Tickets are $35, with early bird pricing available online through October 5. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

“Don’t Wanna Be Lonely” is the latest from Felicia’s forthcoming project, A Soft Place To Land (out November 14, 2025), continuing her exploration of self-assurance, intimacy, and modern love. It follows her singles “Colorblind” and “Alone Together,” both of which have quickly gained traction across streaming platforms. “Colorblind” has surpassed 300K streams, earned 11 editorial playlist placements across Apple Music, Pandora, Tidal, and SoundCloud, and boosted her listenership to over 212K monthly listeners. “Alone Together” has garnered more than 75K streams, landed on 10 editorial playlists, and was spotlighted on Apple Music’s homepage under “New Tracks.”

Since first gaining national attention on NBC’s The Voice, Felicia has carved out a flourishing independent career, releasing five EPs and touring with John Legend, Deborah Cox, and The Roots. With her soulful vocals, timeless sound, and fearless approach to storytelling, she continues to establish herself as one of R&B’s most magnetic voices. Stay tuned for more from Felicia Temple as she prepares to share A Soft Place To Land later this year.
