Sarah Ferguson is looking to “reinvent herself” by launching a new “raunchier” endeavour after her public downfall due to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, sources have claimed. The former Duchess of York found herself with no title, home or job after new details of her relationship with the disgraced US financier emerged.
Fergie’s links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as well as her husband’s association with him, have led to her very public downfall. The ex-duchess has maintained a very low profile after emails surfaced showing her referring to Epstein as her “supreme friend,” despite her team claiming that she sent them after the US financier threatened to sue her for defamation.
Since then, multiple charities severed ties with her, and her latest children’s book was shelved amid the scandal.
Now, new reports suggest that Ms Ferguson could be eyeing up launching a new career by writing adult fiction under a fake name.
One source from the publishing industry told Radar Online: “There is a sense she feels boxed in. Writing under a pseudonym would let her test the waters without the baggage of her name.”
Another one added: “She has talked openly about wanting to reinvent herself. The idea of a raunchier series, something completely different, has definitely been floated.”
Meanwhile, other sources said that loosing her home since 2008, Royal Lodge, and her latest book at the same time was a “double blow” for the ex-duchess with reinvention being her “coping mechanism”.
It comes as a royal author cited a source who got “too close” to Ms Ferguson and gave out a brutal verdict about her.
Christopher Wilson wrote for the Daily Mail: “Greedy, grabby, and grubby. That’s the verdict on the former Duchess of York who, according to someone who got too close to her, will ‘take everything – then bite your hand off to get the rings as well’.”
