HAWKWOOD Centre for Future Thinking in Stroud has a busy programme lined up in the coming weeks, from film and music to hands‑on craft and gardening.
On Thursday, March 12, Hawkwood is hosting a Stroud Film Festival screening of the documentary Lost for Words, which is described as a ‘poetic journey through language and landscape’, with a Q&A, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Later in the month the centre is running a one‑day Running and Mindfulness workshop with Ra Twilley on Sunday, March 29, combining time outdoors with simple reflective practices.
In April, there will be a string of practical courses, including a two‑day willow lampshades workshop with Tess Wakeling, from April 11–12, and Flavours Without Borders, a two‑day cooking course with food writer Radhika Howarth, from April 10–11 .
For music‑makers there is a strings chamber music course led by the Consone Quartet from April 7–9, and a Spring Voices! opera and oratorio weekend from April 12–14 .
