According to RadarOnline, Andrew’s facing fresh embarrassment after a former royal protection officer revealed that he and his coworkers had a crude secret nickname for him while he was still a working royal.
The revelation comes at a particularly uncomfortable moment. Police arrested Andrew on February 19 – his 66th birthday – on suspicion of misconduct in public office, then released him later that evening after questioning.
The arrest has once again put Andrew at the top of the news. In an unearthed 60 Minutes clip, a former member of the royal protection team, Paul Page, described how he and his coworkers referred to Andrew. He told reporter Tara Brown, “His official code – so if he were to come into the Palace – his call sign was Purple 4-1. But he did have a nickname, but it’s a bit rude to tell you.”
After some hesitation, Paul warned, “But you won’t be able to air it.” He then revealed Andrew was known as “The C*nt.”
Paul said the nickname was not random or exaggerated. In his view, it reflected how people around Andrew actually felt after encountering him.
Paul explained, “Plain and simple, because unfortunately, he upset everyone he came across. He was the most unpopular member of the royal family while I was there. He was just rude and arrogant, and his sense of self-entitlement was breathtaking.”
Andrew, for his part, has continued to deny any wrongdoing tied to the investigation. He hasn’t commented on his unearthed nickname.
