Looking for free family activities in Metro Detroit this June? The Village of Rochester Hills is making it easy to fill your calendar with fun, offering a full lineup of free concerts, kids’ activities, outdoor yoga, music classes, and even hands-on bug encounters throughout the month.

Whether you’re looking for a weekday outing with little ones, an evening concert under the stars, or a unique educational experience for curious kids, there’s something for every age to enjoy at this popular outdoor shopping and dining destination.

Conveniently located at the corner of Adams and Walton Road in Rochester Hills, The Village of Rochester Hills combines family-friendly events with beautiful open-air spaces, fountains, shopping, dining, and plenty of opportunities to spend time together outdoors this summer.

One of the most unique family experiences returning this summer is Bugs on Wheels with Ms. Nadia, also known as “The Bug Lady.”

Children and adults alike will have the opportunity to see, touch, and even hold live insects while learning fascinating facts about these often misunderstood creatures. Guests can also explore taxidermy displays and discover how scientists study and protect insects and other small animals.

This hands-on educational experience is perfect for curious kids who love nature and wildlife.

Families with young children won’t want to miss the popular Sing. Play. Speak. Music Classes with Miss Calissa.

Designed for children from birth through age five, these interactive classes combine music, movement, language development, social skills, and speech-supporting activities. Bring a blanket, settle onto the lawn, and enjoy quality bonding time while your little one sings, dances, and learns.

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy live music throughout June during The Village of Rochester Hills Summer Concert Series.

Concerts take place on Friday and Saturday evenings and feature a variety of performers playing classic rock, country, contemporary favorites, and more. It’s the perfect way to kick off a summer weekend while enjoying the beautiful outdoor atmosphere.

These 30-minute outdoor sessions are designed for children and their favorite grown-ups to experience yoga together in a fun and welcoming environment. No registration is required—simply bring a yoga mat or towel and enjoy the experience.
