1. Downtown Melbourne Botanical Fest
It’s easy being green with the help of Melbourne Main Street’s Botanical Fest, which will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, April 11 at 1900 S. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne. The family-friendly event attracts visitors from the region and features lavish landscape designs, garden sculptures, flowers and plants, trees and shrubs, unique gifts, garden-themed art and more. 2. Songwriter Showcase on Merritt Island
The Songwriter Showcase takes place on the second Saturday of every month from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Merritt Island Public Library’s Carlton-Taylor Auditorium, 1195 N. Courtenay Pkwy. Presented by Sharon Osuna, Steve Hodak and Central Florida Folk, the concerts mix songwriters from Brevard and beyond with 15-minute sets of original songs. The April 11 event will feature Andy Gravina, Beaux Patrick, Flavio Sanguinetti, Ben Knappes, Terry Strong and Bob Sima. Admission is free. Email [email protected].
3. ‘Treats, Beats & Eats’ in Palm Bay
The City of Palm Bay hosts “Treats, Beats & Eats” at Palm Bay City Hall, 120 Malabar Road, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 10. Enjoy free parking and free entry while you explore tasty treats, great beats, and family-friendly activities in a festive outdoor atmosphere. The Palm Bay Fire Department will have a fire truck for kids to explore. Admission is free. Visit palmbayfl.gov.
4. South Beaches Concert Series in Melbourne Beach
The band Thick as Thieves will play at Nancy Higgs Park, 500 Old Florida Trail, Melbourne Beach, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 10. Admission is free. Visit brevardfl.gov or facebook.com/BrevardParks.
5. Food Truck Friday in Rockledge
Bring your appetite to Larry L. Schultz Park, 2560 S. Fiske Blvd., Rockledge, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 10 for some of the Space Coast’s favorite local food trucks.
