Gene Kelly dances in Seaside

SEASIDE — Seaside Public Library, at 1131 Broadway St., in Seaside, offers a free showing of the 1952 movie “Singin’ in the Rain” 2 p.m. Dec. 13.
The screening features an introduction and post-film discussion with film historian Paul Laverack via Zoom.
Gene Kelly plays a musician in the transition from the silent movie era to the “talkies” whose jealous partner, played by Jean Hagen, intervenes when a talented young studio singer played by Debbie Reynolds threatens her status.
