READSBORO — Glass artists Mary Angus and Bill LeQuier will host their 42nd annual Holiday Open Studio Sale at Readsboro Glassworks on two weekends, Dec. 13-14 and Dec. 20-21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors are invited to the studio to see Angus and LeQuier’s hand blown glass, enjoy a cup of hot mulled cider and join the artists in celebrating the holiday season and 42 years of creating glass art in their Readsboro studio.
In 1983, Angus and LeQuier fired up their glass furnaces for the first time just weeks before Christmas and invited their neighbors in to see their new studio. To celebrate the Glasswork’s 42nd anniversary, there is free drawing that all visitors can enter to win a Glass Snowflake ornament or a set of Glass Candy Canes.
Angus and LeQuier will have a unique collection of hand blown glass for sale, including perfume bottles and ring holders, bud vases in translucent tones, and colorful handmade glass candy cane, icicle and spiral ornaments. Also available are glass snowflake ornaments, intricately sandblast-carved in clear glass. They have two new snowflakes for 2025, including a dated version.
Readsboro Glassworks is located at 6954 Main Street, Route 100, (lower level). Call 802-423-7706 or visit www.maryangusglass.com for information. The studio is also open additional hours, by appointment, through Dec. 23.
