Gerry Turner did not mince words about his experience getting married to Theresa Nist.
The first Golden Bachelor married the show’s winner, Theresa, during a live televised wedding on ABC on January 4, 2024. The couple divorced three months later.
Recently, on November 3, Gerry appeared on the Tamron Hall Show to promote his upcoming memoir, The Golden Years. In the memoir, he talks about the wedding and divorce, which Tamron asked about.
“You say you had the worst case of cold feet the night before the wedding,” Tamron said
“It was butterflies and, you know, an anticipated funeral rather than a wedding,” Gerry said. “You know, there was a lot of mixed feelings and I just come off of you know, really a high velocity artificial environment and I’m right at the end, and I’m wondering if I did the right thing.”
