Gerry Turner chose Theresa Nist over 22 women on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor in 2023, but when their marriage ended after three months, he took a shot at love with another contestant.
During a mini Golden Bachelor reunion on Wednesday, August 20 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Susan Noles, 67, Kathy Swarts, 72, and Nist revealed that Turner, 73, dated their fellow alum Christina Kempton after his divorce in April, 2024.
“Theresa, I think you know, Gerry dated Christina from our show for a while after…” Noles said of the Sierra Madre, California-based contestant, who went home in Week Three on the show.
“Now I know that,” said Nist. “A while ago… I’m actually the one who suggested he go out with Christina.”
”We’re all on the same page,” said Swarts, revealing that she and Noles made the same suggestion. “They went out for, like, six months.”
“What?” responded Nist. “I didn’t know that!”
After her elimination, Kempton told Extra that she was “crushed” not to get a rose because she and Turner had so much in common. “I would have liked to have been able to cultivate that a little bit more and have discussions with him.”
It’s unclear when Kempton and Turner reconnected, but he has been dating Lana Sutton since March.
Nist is currently single. She revealed on the podcast that she was “excited” about joining the previous season of Bachelor in Paradise alongside Swarts because she “wanted the reunion with all the women. But then I looked at the men and I didn’t see a match for myself.”
