Gerry Turner moved on to another member of The Bachelor franchise after splitting with Theresa Nist.
Not only did the couple make history as the first-ever Golden Bachelor couple, but they also became the franchise’s shortest marriage. Their divorce has sparked more headlines than their relationship did, and even a year after, their split is still being brought up in conversations.
The latest news to come to light regarding the ex-couple has to do with who he was tied to after their divorce and before his new relationship.
Theresa appeared on a new episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, where she opened up about the aftermath of her three-month marriage to fellow Golden Bachelor alums Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts.
Kathy had brought to light another romance Gerry had within the Bachelor franchise.
“Theresa, I think you know, Gerry dated Christina [Kempton] from our show for a while after…” she revealed, referencing the California native who was eliminated during week 3.
The 72-year-old co-star then replied she “now” knew but had no recollection of it prior to the conversation. However, it doesn’t shock her as she was the one who posed the idea to her ex-husband in the first place.
“A while ago… I’m actually the one who suggested he go out with Christina,” Theresa admitted.
“We’re all on the same page. They went out for, like, six months,” Kathy added.
Theresa was surprised by the duration of their relationship, replying, “I didn’t know that!”
She went on to claim that their relationship got to a deep enough level that Gerry had let Christina read an excerpt from his upcoming memoir, Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV, which is set to release on November 4.

This isn’t the first time that Theresa has been taken aback by Gerry’s actions post-divorce.
She had previously revealed on iHeartRadio’s Almost Famous podcast that she was “surprised” that Gerry had been saying his cancer diagnosis had a “huge bearing” on their decision to split.
“We never had a conversation that said, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re sick. I can’t stay with you now. I have to leave.’ That never happened,” she said. “I would have never left my husband over an illness.”
Theresa was even “surprised that he even said that I knew about the cancer a long time ago.”
She recalled the moment he first addressed his cancer diagnosis to her.
“The way Gerry presented it to me was that, ‘The doctor said that I’m going to die of old age before this cancer gets to me.’ He bluffed it off, like it really wasn’t that important, and he had no symptoms, and he still doesn’t.”
