EAST PROVIDENCE – After filming on the East Side, J.J. Abrams took the “Ghostwriter” film crew to the waterfront to film a quick scene of Glen Powell bicycling near the Hurricane Barrier, with the power plant smokestacks in the background.
After a quick shoot near the Hurricane Barrier in Fox point, the film crew crossed the river and headed to East Providence.
There, the Department of Environmental Management prepared to temporarily shut the East Bay Bike Path near University Orthopedics on Monday, August 18, around 5 p.m. for filming.
