On Friday, Gigi Hadid celebrated her daughter Khai’s 5th birthday with some new photos never before shared, posted in her Instagram Stories. Hadid shares Khai with her former partner, One Direction star Zayn Malik. While they occasionally post pictures, they try to keep Khai’s life as private as possible and leave her face out of photos.
In the first pic, Hadid is crouching next to Khai, who is wearing brown chaps with fringe and blue details over bright pink cowboy boots, with a denim jacket and braids. Her mom is wearing a navy baseball cap, a camo print sweater, and blue jeans.
“My girl is 5 today,” the star wrote over the pic, adding a crying emoji.
“Happy birthday to my greatest love & gift,” she continued.
She also posted a throwback from 2023, in which Khai is sitting on her hip. The then three-year-old has her blonde hair up and is wearing a yellow T-shirt with green pants printed with darker green hearts. Hadid is wearing a gray T-shirt and jeans and has her own blonde hair back in a long braid.
Hadid and Malik have continued to co-parent since their split and the model is currently dating actor Bradley Cooper. In her March cover story with Vogue, she said they work together to parent Khai with “love, and a feeling of camaraderie.”
“Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance,” she added. “That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.”
Hadid shared, “What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we’ve been through together.”
