Princess Catherine of Wales was in high spirits as she arrived at Twickenham to cheer on the England rugby team in their match against Ireland this afternoon. Despite the Royal Family suffering from its most serious crisis in modern history, with the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Princess Catherine smiled and carried on with her sporting engagements.
The Princess of Wales appeared at the rugby game in her role as the patron of England’s Rugby Football Union. She sported a long blue coat and matching England RFU scarf.
Royal fans praised the Princess as they spotted her in the stands. One fan on social media wrote: “Princess Catherine really does stand out in a crowd.” Another said: “Wow, Princess Kate is glowing today.”
Another fan on social media said: “The Princess of Wales, as loved as ever today at Twickenham.”

Meanwhile, Princess Anne, who is the patron of the Scottish RFU, is expected to attend that fixture at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Catherine was also spotted speaking to the injured England player, Fin Baxter, in the stands before the match started.
Catherine and William have both been in lockstep with King Charles’s decisions to distance the Royal Family from Andrew, with Charles first stripping his brother of his titles last year.

On Thursday morning, the former Duke of York was arrested by officers from Thames Valley Police on Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, on his 66th birthday.
The former prince was taken to a police station in Aylsham on suspicion of misconduct in public office – he was later released under investigation, Thames Valley Police said. Andrew denies all accusations made against him.
Detectives are probing Andrew’s conduct as a trade envoy for the UK, after emails in the Epstein Files suggested he may have shared confidential information with his paedophile friend, Jeffrey Epstein.
Charles revealed the police would have his “wholehearted support and co-operation” and expressed his “deepest concern”.
It is understood the Prince and Princess were fully supportive of the statement, although neither William nor Kate have addressed most recent events via a statement.
