One snub after another.

The 2026 Golden Globes nominations were revealed Monday morning, honoring the best in film and television over the last year.

“One Battle After Another,” “Sentimental Value,” “Sinners,” “Hamnet” and “Frankenstein” led the pack of the nominated movies, while the TV shows that resonated the most with the Globes voting body were “The White Lotus,” “Adolescence,” “Severance” and “The Studio.”

Meanwhile, A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Julia Roberts, Adam Scott, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and Glen Powell scored nods for their performances.

But a slew of popular projects and talented actors didn’t get their due when the nominations list was unveiled.

One of the most glaring omissions from the all-important Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy was “Wicked: For Good.” The first film got into the category last year.

The snub was even more surprising since the second part of the popular Broadway adaptation got nominated for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures, while the film’s lead stars, Grande and Cynthia Erivo, both got into the acting categories.

“Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the third installment in James Cameron’s sci-fi epic, didn’t get into the Best Motion Picture – Drama category like the first two films did. However, the movie did get nominated for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

“Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man” was similarly snubbed by the Golden Globes altogether this year. The last two films in Rian Johnson’s murder mystery franchise both got Best Motion Picture Comedy or Musical noms.

James Gunn’s “Superman” starring David Corenswet did not get into any categories, including Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, despite the action flick relaunching the DC Universe and making over $600 million at the global box office.

Sydney Sweeney being snubbed for “Christy” was also unexpected. The “Euphoria” star transformed her body to play professional boxer Christy Martin in the biopic, but the Globes didn’t think her performance was a knock out.

Jennifer Lopez was expected to make a splash this award season with her role in her first-ever musical film, “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” But Lopez and the movie itself were overlooked by Globes voters.

Some films saw one lead get in, but not the other. That was the case for “Song Sung Blue,” with Kate Hudson getting a nom while Hugh Jackman didn’t, and “Die My Love” with Jennifer Lawrence scoring a nomination unlike her co-star, Robert Pattinson.

On the television side, Quinta Brunson didn’t make the cut for her role in “Abbott Elementary” for the first time. She previously won one Golden Globe and was nominated twice for playing second-grade teacher Janine Teagues.

Despite winning the Emmy in September for her role as Nurse Dana Evans, “The Pitt” star Katherine LaNasa was ignored by the Golden Globes.

Other notable TV actor snubs included Tim Robinson for “The Chair Company” and Patrick Schwarzenegger for “The White Lotus.” Five of Schwarzenegger’s co-stars got nominated: Carrie Coon, Aimee Lou Wood, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs and Walton Goggins.

“Stranger Things 5” was shut out completely by the Globes this year, after Netflix’s mega-hit was nominated for Best Television Series — Drama in 2017 and 2018. The show has never won a Golden Globe.

“The Gilded Age,” which has grown in popularity across its three seasons, was shut out, as well.

The Golden Globes has also introduced the brand-new Best Podcast category, which came with its own fair share of snubs.

“The Joe Rogan Experience” didn’t join the likes of “Call Her Daddy” and “Good Hang with Amy Poehler” on the nominations list, despite being one of the most popular podcasts of all time.

Another conservative-leaning podcast snubbed was “The Ben Shapiro Show,” after its 41-year-old host campaigned hard for the nomination by blasting billboards in Times Square.

The 2026 Golden Globes, once again hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, will air Sunday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available to stream on Paramount+.
