Google has unveiled Lyria 3 Pro, an upgraded version of its AI music generation model that focuses on creating longer and more structured music tracks. Announced by Google DeepMind, the new model builds on the earlier Lyria 3 by improving composition quality and expanding integration across more Google platforms and products. The update is aimed at making AI-powered music creation more useful for creators and developers who need longer, better-organised tracks.
If you’re ready to get into the studio with Lyria 3 Pro, here’s where to access the model:
— @GeminiApp for Google AI Pro/Ultra subscribers
— @GoogleAIStudio and the Gemini API
— @producer_ai
— Vertex AI
— Google Vids for Workspace customers + Google AI Pro/Ultra subscribers
— Google AI (@GoogleAI) March 25, 2026
The new model can now generate music of up to three minutes, allowing users to create more complete compositions instead of short clips. It also supports prompts that define musical elements such as intros, verses, choruses, and bridges, giving users greater control over how a track is structured.

The system is designed to better understand musical composition, making it easier for users to experiment with different styles, transitions, and formats. This makes Lyria 3 Pro particularly useful for creators working on videos, podcasts, and other digital content that requires customised background music. Google says the model is built to offer more creative flexibility while maintaining consistency across longer tracks.
Lyria 3 Pro is also being integrated across multiple Google platforms. It is now available in Vertex AI for businesses that need large-scale audio generation, while developers can access it through Google AI Studio and the Gemini API. The model is also rolling out to Google Vids so users can add AI-generated music to video projects, and Gemini app users, specially paid subscribers, will be able to generate longer music tracks directly.
Google added that the model has been developed in collaboration with musicians and producers to better match real-world creative workflows. It also includes safeguards such as avoiding the imitation of specific artists and embedding SynthID watermarks to identify AI-generated content. With Lyria 3 Pro, Google is continuing to expand its AI-powered creative tools ecosystem, with a focus on longer-form music generation and wider accessibility across its platforms.
