New York City’s iconic summer soundscape is already taking shape. The Governors Ball Music Festival — one of the city’s biggest live-music events — has officially revealed its 2026 lineup, and fans are buzzing with anticipation. Set for June 5–7, 2026 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, the three-day festival promises an expansive, genre-blending roster that reflects both global music trends and local flavor.

At the top of the bill are Lorde, Stray Kids and A$AP Rocky, a trio of headliners whose distinctive styles capture the breadth of the festival’s ambitions. Lorde, the Grammy-winning New Zealand singer-songwriter whose introspective pop has scored multiple chart hits, will headline Friday, June 5 alongside rising star Baby Keem. This will be Lorde’s first headlining slot at Gov Ball since she last appeared in 2017, marking a full-circle moment for festivalgoers and fans.

Saturday’s action is sure to generate global attention with K-Pop sensation Stray Kids topping the lineup. The group’s high-energy performances and rapidly growing international fanbase make them a natural fit for Governors Ball’s youthful, eclectic audience. They’ll be joined by Kali Uchis, a genre-defying artist known for blending R&B, pop and Latin influences, and a host of other standout performers across rock, electronic and alternative genres.

Closing out the weekend on Sunday, June 7, is hometown hero A$AP Rocky, the Harlem-bred rapper and fashion icon. He’s paired with Jennie of BLACKPINK, who brings her own global pop-music clout to the stage, ensuring a powerful finale for the three-day festival.

But the headliners are just the beginning. This year’s Governors Ball lineup features more than 60 artists across multiple stages, representing an impressive range of musical styles that go beyond the traditional rock-and-pop festival formula. Acts like Geese, Blood Orange, Clipse, Major Lazer, Wet Leg and Amyl and the Sniffers — each with their own distinct edge — will perform alongside up-and-comers such as Katseye, 2hollis and Snow Strippers.

For fans of indie and alternative music, names like Japanese Breakfast, King Princess and Rachel Chinouriri add depth to a weekend that’s shaping up to be as varied as it is vibrant. R&B and hip-hop lovers will also find plenty to enjoy, with performances by Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, Mariah the Scientist and Ravyn Lenae scattered throughout the schedule.

Governors Ball organizers are also maintaining some beloved festival traditions. Beyond the music, attendees can look forward to the signature New York culinary experience that has long distinguished the event, with local food vendors and gourmet options complementing the performances. Partnering with established Queens favorites and innovative eateries, the festival continues to offer a cultural experience that mirrors the borough’s diversity.

For ticket buyers, anticipation is already building. A presale is set to open on January 8 at 10 a.m. ET with the lowest-priced passes available during the first hour. General on-sale will follow at 11 a.m. ET for those who miss the presale window. Tickets range from single-day passes to three-day general admission packages, with premium tiers like VIP, GA+ and Pit Viewing also available for fans seeking upgraded access.

The expanded ticket offerings mark a continuing trend in festival culture: giving fans more options for how they want to experience the event. Pit Viewing tickets, which place attendees directly in front of the stages, have been especially popular in recent years, while VIP and cabana packages appeal to those looking for a more comfortable, curated festival experience.

Governors Ball’s lineup reflects the current musical moment — one in which pop, hip-hop, rock, electronic and global styles coexist on the same stages, drawing diverse crowds. It’s a lineup that resonates with both longtime festival veterans and newer generations of concertgoers, creating a weekend that feels like a celebration of contemporary music culture.

Yet beyond just music, Governors Ball has become a social ritual for many New Yorkers and visitors alike: a rite of passage for summer, a gathering that brings together friends and strangers under the skyline of Queens for shared experiences, and a chance to discover new sounds even as familiar favorites take center stage.

As the festival gears up for its June 2026 return, the buzz is building not just around the headliners but around the full, richly textured musical landscape it promises. Whether attendees come for the global pop stars, the breakout acts or the community atmosphere, Governors Ball 2026 is poised to deliver one of the most exciting and eclectic weekends on the summer calendar.
