Gwyneth Paltrow dishes on ‘a lot’ of intimate scenes with Timothée Chalamet
Gwyneth Paltrow has finally broken her silence about her experience performing steamy scenes with Timothée Chalamet in the highly acclaimed film Marty Supreme.
In a discussion held in support of her latest project, the 53-year-old actress took part in a Q&A at the San Vicente Bungalows in Santa Monica on January 9, where she opened up about filming intimate scenes with the 30-year-old actor.
“He was 27 or 28, and I was 50-whatever, and, I mean, it’s weird,” Paltrow told Demi Moore, who attended the film screening and participated in the subsequent Q&A.
The Oscar-winning actress added, “And I [thought], ‘Oh, if it’s weird for me, then it’s probably really weird for [him],’ but actually, it was fine. It wasn’t that weird.”
Moreover, Paltrow shared that she was initially concerned about filming “a lot of sex scenes,” particularly after not having done such scenes in a long time.
However, despite her earlier reservations, she said the experience ultimately felt comfortable and natural.
In the newly released sports comedy-drama, Paltrow plays Kay Stone, the love interest of Marty Mauser, portrayed by Chalamet.
The film follows Mauser, a shoe salesman determined to become the world’s best table tennis player in 1950s New York City.
Marty Supreme, starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothée Chalamet, was released on December 25, 2025.
