Gwyneth Paltrow will be both home ― and “alone” ― for the holidays.
The Goop founder opened up about what her December will look like in a “Ask Me Anything” segment on her Goop podcast, shared on Tuesday.
Someone asked the Oscar winner if she had “any traditions that you’ve picked up from Brad [Falchuk] that he brought to the relationship that you love?”
“Brad is the worst,” Paltrow said of her second husband. “He hates Christmas music, he hates Christmas decorations, he hates roast turkey, like ― he hates the traditional dinner.”
She said of their blended family of four, “I feel very alone in my house in my love for Christmas, although all the kids love it, so they’re on my side.”
Meanwhile, Falchuk is “a little bit of a Grinch” and “looks forward to it being over.”
“But I love the decorations, I love the Frank Sinatra Christmas album,” Paltrow said, adding, “I really get into the holiday spirit.”
Paltrow is open and honest about her relationship with Falchuk, even going so far as to name a major regret from their marriage.
The two, who have both been married before, tied the knot in 2018.
“One thing we did that was maybe a little bit different was, we got married and then didn’t move in together for a year,” Falchuk said during an appearance on Paltrow’s podcast back in September. “Would you have done the same thing this time ― again?”
“I don’t think so,” the actor said at the time. “I think at the time, we really felt like we were doing the right thing.”
“We were trying to kind of land the plane very, very gently and slowly and get everybody on board,” she explained. “But I’m not sure that it didn’t just prolong that thing of like, we don’t know what we’re doing. What do you think?”
Falchuk echoed Paltrow’s take and said their decision “just gives the kids too much power.”
