Gwyneth Paltrow has recently shared her experience as an empty nester after her kids went off to college. A few years ago, she took a break from acting and now made a comeback with a new film, “Marty Supreme.” During an interview with Demi Moore, the 53-year-old actress explained how she felt when she was not acting, and also, her children had moved out.
“I had this big vacancy in my purpose and orientation,” PEOPLE reported Paltrow’s experience. The “Iron Man” alum mentioned that the break made her realize that she had done a lot of movies. “I was just on this train and going and going, and when I had my daughter, I really wanted to stop,” she said. So, the award-winning actor paused her acting career for some time and focused on her company, Goop.
Talking about her comeback, Paltrow said, “And then this guy, Josh Safdie, called me and I was so embarrassingly out of the [loop]. I had never even seen Timothée Chalamet in a movie, which is…I swear. Now I have.”
Earlier, the businesswoman had opened up about how her kids reacted to her steamy scenes with Chalamet. Her daughter supported Paltrow’s decision, while her son was “mortified.” Moses thought it was a bit “too much.”
