Pop star Halsey is the latest to become a victim of inappropriate behavior by fans at concerts. A video of her latest concert in Washington, D.C. has gone viral, showing a fan groping and reaching under Halsey’s skirt.
The moment occurred on Tuesday night at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., while the pop star sang “Is There Somewhere”. Halsey is seen standing up close with fans in a leather mini skirt, neon yellow corset, and matching fishnet tights.
In the video, taken from below, an unidentified individual’s hand is seen resting on Halsey’s upper thigh before it moves to the back under her skirt. After a few seconds, a security guard’s gloved hand realizes the inappropriate behavior and moves the individual’s hand away.
Halsey doesn’t appear to realize what occurred, nor has she made any public comment about the incident. With the video going viral, fans have spoken out in anger over the lack of respect and boundaries that have taken place recently at concerts.
“Imagine being that close to an artist & you violate their private space & personal boundaries!! Hopefully they were yanked out & arrested !! Send a message!!” said one fan on Instagram.
“God, what the hell is the matter with people!!!! I hope Halsey is okay. She has talked extensively about being an abuse survivor,” said another.
One person on X posted on how “wrong” the situation was, with one adding, “Absolutely! Personal boundaries are non-negotiable — a concert is for music, not unwanted touching. Some people seriously need a lesson in respect.”
“I can’t even believe I have to say this. Respect Halsey and DO NOT touch her or anyone like this without their consent. You people are unbelievable,” posted one Halsey fan account.
Recently, Billie Eilish also experienced inappropriate behavior when a fan violently yanked her into the barricade after she went down to meet fans after performing the song “Guess.” The video also went viral, with security having to intervene. According to Miami Police, the person was ejected from the arena.
