LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Hamburg area of Lexington is continuing to expand with new businesses, including one wrapped in Bluegrass themes and fun for the family. It’s all housed at its newest mega-entertainment center, located off Bryant Road.
Bugsy’s Entertainment Complex is a nearly 40,000-square-foot complex and offers rental spaces for large events and special occasions.
With Derby vibes and Lexington flair everywhere you turn, Bugsy’s is bringing a playground for kids and adults and has officially opened on Bryant Road.
General Manager John James said this two-level building offers a one-of-a-kind experience packed with several sections of interactive games.
The center has a full arcade on its top floor, over a dozen bowling lanes, as well as virtual axe-throwing.
The biggest attraction, James said, is the virtual reality simulator, the Hurricane. “It’s from Turkey. It’ll flip you upside down, like four to five times,” James said.
Hemal Patel is the co-owner and says the ride is one of only a few you can find in the country.

“It is one of a few in most of the United States, as a mobile simulator that can simulate up to 15 different experiences,” Patel said.
Patel said bringing new experiences to central Kentucky is what he and his partner, Manpreet Singh, enjoy.
“There’s nothing that can host huge corporate parties. Like, everybody has to go into town because we’re wrong to get what they need,” Patel added. “We can service Winchester, Richmond, Georgetown, and Frankfort. So we are well positioned to provide the best service.”
A full VR arena is open for six players, and people can refuel at the dining and bar spaces on both levels with burgers, sandwiches, and pizza on the menu.
“There’s great stuff here. And we just want people to, like, be able to have their kids learn about the culture even through this mini-golf course, see what we have to offer in our state, and be proud of where we’re from,” James said.
From the basketball court to the horse track to bourbon-on-ice-themed mini-golf, Bugsy’s is now buzzing in the Bluegrass.
