‘Hamnet’ Reclaims No. 1 Spot at U.K., Ireland Box Office, ‘Iron Lung’ Debuts in Fourth

Universal’s “Hamnet” reclaimed the No. 1 spot at the U.K. and Ireland box office, grossing £1.41 million ($1.92 million) and lifting its cumulative total to £14.84 million ($20.18 million), according to Comscore.

Close behind was was Lionsgate U.K.’s “The Housemaid” on $1.91 million for the frame, pushing its total to $38.7 million.

Debuting in No. 3, Black Bear’s “Shelter” delivered $1.3 million. Also new in No. 4, “Iron Lung” opened with $1.2 million.

Among the holdovers, Disney’s “Zootopia 2” held No. 5 with $1.1 million and a running total of £$44.3 million, while “Avatar: Fire And Ash” was No. 6 on $1.01 million for a cumulative $56.1 million.

Further down the chart, “Marty Supreme” (Entertainment Film Distributors) ranked No. 7 with $936,826 and a total of $20.1 million. Paramount’s “Primate” came in No. 8 on $896,588. Sony’s “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” took No. 9 with $832,917 and a cume of $9.4 million, while Disney’s “Is This Thing On?” rounded out the top 10 in No.
