Prince Harry might have reunited with King Charles when he returned to the UK, but one royal expert doesn’t think that will put an end to their feud.
The father-and-son pair spent almost an hour together earlier this month when the Duke of Sussex traveled to London, England, for a series of charity engagements. Details of the meeting have been kept under wraps, but Harry did say the King is doing “great” after the reunion.
While many have seen the meeting as a turning point for Harry and Charles, relationship expert Louella Alderson isn’t so sure. She spoke to the Express US after Harry was seen with his wife, Meghan Markle, for the first time following his UK visit.
Alderson told us, “King Charles and Prince Harry’s recent meeting feels like it could be a turning point for their relationship.
“The meeting was incredibly private and Harry hasn’t talked about it publicly yet, which could indicate they are both serious about repairing the damage and healing the rift.”
“Rebuilding trust after years of tension isn’t quick or easy, but genuine moments like this, private and away from the spotlight, lay the groundwork for a better relationship moving forward.”
Following Harry’s trip to the UK, he visited Ukraine before returning to America.
The Duke of Sussex refused to talk about his father but hinted at the King’s health with a cryptic comment. He told The Guardian that over the coming year, “The focus really has to be on my dad.”
Harry’s comment seems to suggest he is hoping to see more of his father as the months go by.
