Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a significant statement on Saturday evening, just moments after the Royal Family gathered in London for a solemn Remembrance Week event.
King Charles and Queen Camilla headed the Royal Family at the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall in London, honoring all who have served and sacrificed their lives for their nation.
Charles and Camilla were accompanied by other senior royals, including the Princess of Wales, Prince George, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, reports Daily Express UK.
The King was photographed arriving at the Royal Albert Hall in London, where the other royals had assembled shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday evening.
At 7:12 p.m. PST, a fresh announcement from Prince Harry and Meghan appeared on their Archewell website.
Harry and Meghan released a statement revealing they are “bolstering” their initiatives to deliver meals and food assistance to those experiencing hardship in their local areas.
A statement by Archewell read, “In a moment when families across the United States are struggling to put food on the table, Prince Harry and Meghan have been supporting local communities affected by the growing hunger crisis and assisting local partners providing meals and relief to those most in need.”
“Across the country, food banks and community organisations are working tirelessly to fill the gap and stepping up to meet the need. At The Archewell Foundation, we believe that food is more than sustenance-it is dignity, stability, and care for one another.”
Harry and Meghan’s charitable foundation announced its “emergency donations” to local partners providing immediate relief to those affected, including the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County, Our Big Kitchen LA and Project Angel Food.

The pair also encouraged people to contribute whenever and wherever possible, as “caring for one another is both a collective act and a personal choice.”
The statement added, “Whether through time, resources, or simple gestures of compassion, each of us can help ensure that no one faces hunger alone.”
They also offered guidance on ways to assist, including “sharing what you can, gathering others to help, showing up for seniors and supporting local and national organisations.”
The Archewell foundation statement concluded, “Moments like this remind us of the power and resilience of communities-and the responsibility we all share to care for one another.
