King Charles made time to see Prince Harry on Wednesday of this week, and now it’s up to Harry to keep what was discussed in the meeting private, and it appears he has passed the test.
Harry was in London for four days, and his visit with his father was significant, but just one of many events with Harry presenting at the WellChild Awards and visiting with the organizers, children and their family on Monday, and then swinging by BBC’s Children in Need to make a $1.5 million dollar donation on Tuesday.
Harry was scheduled to be in the UK for four days, and it was presumed he’d return to the US to reunite with his wife and two children, but it appears there was a turn of events with one royal expert pleasantly surprised.
Ian Pelham Turner, former royal photographer at the Palace, said: “Prince Harry has made a surprise visit to Ukraine offering his support to injured soldiers.”
He explained: “This is a growing charm offensive by Harry to redefine his values, which could add significant benefits to the Royal Family.”
Now that the visit in the UK is done and dusted, and appears to be a success story, Harry has switched gears, and switched countries.
With Harry in Ukraine, versus heading straight back to the US, it does make us wonder if he will stay put for the Duchess of Kent’s funeral, which is scheduled for next week, on September 16.
The Duchess of Kent, Queen Elizabeth II’s first cousin’s wife, is survived by her husband, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, 89, and their children, George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews, 63, Lady Helen Taylor, 61, and Lord Nicholas Windsor, 55.
The Royal Family is expected to attend the funeral, including King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William, which would put Prince Harry and his older brother in the same place, but that’s secondary, paying tribute to the Duchess of Kent comes first.
