Dolly Parton is recovering from health issues that forced her to delay Las Vegas shows.
People, which cited an anonymous source, reports Dolly Parton “is doing better every day.”
According to the report, the country music legend is spending time with loved ones and preparing for the holiday season.
“She is at home taking care of herself while many friends and family visit her,” the source told People. “In true Dolly spirit she has already started decorating for the holidays — her favorite time of year.”
Dolly Parton’s sister, Freida, clarified in October a social media post after she stated she was up all night with the country music icon and needed prayers.
“I want to clear something up,” Freida Parton posted in October. “I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly.
“She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer.”
In September, Parton, 79, told fans on Instagram she needed to undergo a “few procedures,” but wouldn’t be quitting the music business any time soon.
“It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister,” Freida posted. “Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.”
As a result, Parton was to push six Las Vegas shows from December 2025 to September 2026.
